Position description
Job title
Call for Applications – Ebola Emergency Response – MSF Switzerland (M/F/X)
Field based :
Democratic Republic of the Congo
Job description
CONTEXT
An Ebola outbreak, caused by the Bundibugyo virus, was declared on Monday, May 18, in the province of Ituri (Democratic Republic of the Congo). Since then, the situation has been evolving rapidly and spreading to neighboring areas. MSF Switzerland has launched an emergency response to support health authorities and affected communities.
Given the evolution of the situation, this response is likely to be long‑term. MSF is therefore preparing for a prolonged intervention, with several deployment phases.
In this context, MSF Switzerland is launching a call for applications in order to anticipate human resources needs for the Ebola response.
Deployments will follow the standard MSF recruitment, matching, and validation processes. Prior approval from your line manager, or a discussion with your Development Advisor / Career Manager, will be required before any mobilization.
To ensure operational safety and compliance with MSF standards, all staff members must adhere to the MSF Switzerland Code of Conduct, as well as to the specific procedures related to Ebola interventions.
